MW4 roadmap: Shipment, Possession, Infected and Season 1 dates

Shipment lands on 27 October, the Halloween modes follow, and Season 1 brings Warzone integration on 6 November. Here's every confirmed date.

Infinity Ward’s post-launch roadmap is packed into the two weeks after release. Here’s every confirmed date, with what’s official and what’s still expected.

Shipment (27 October)

The classic small map is back: a Russian harbour, with what the official blog calls visual and gameplay improvements. Infinity Ward hasn’t said whether there’ll be a 24/7 playlist. Shipment is always the fastest place to level guns and grind camos, so check our weapon tier list before you load in.

Possession and Infected (29–30 October)

Both are Pre-Season 1 Halloween modes. We’ve broken them down in our Halloween modes explainer.

Season 1 (6 November)

Season 1 launches for Modern Warfare 4 and Warzone together. Modern Warfare 4’s weapons and progression move into Warzone, with a Battle Pass and BlackCell rewards. Warzone support ends on PS4 and Xbox One with this update. The roadmap graphic doesn’t list any new maps, weapons or Operators yet. We’ll update this page when Infinity Ward reveals the content.

There’s no official start time yet. Based on past Call of Duty seasons, expect it around 5pm UK (1pm ET / 10am PT), but treat that as an estimate.

One thing that’s confirmed: Weekly Challenges won’t be in Season 1. The new Events system replaces them for now.
