Modern Warfare 4’s first Battle Pass arrives with Season 1 on 6 November. Here’s what it costs and what’s inside, based on Activision’s official Season 1 announcement.
Price
- Battle Pass: 1,100 COD Points.
- Battle Pass Bundle: 2,400 COD Points.
- BlackCell: sold separately, or included with the Vault Edition. Standard Edition owners can upgrade to Vault on the same platform. If you buy the Battle Pass and later upgrade to BlackCell, you get 1,100 COD Points back.
How the pass works
The pass has 100 tiers on a single linear track with Operator skins, Blueprints, Finishing Moves, Calling Cards, Charms and more. The two new base weapons are free: the Cronen Osprey assault rifle at tier 16 and the CSG-35 SMG at tier 36.
There’s also a catch-up system: premium owners who fall behind are moved up to the reward for the current day of the season, up to day 50, so you’re guaranteed at least 50 premium rewards.
Key rewards
- Bundle instant rewards: a 10% Battle Pass XP boost, up to 1,100 COD Points, the “Downpour” Blix skin, a “Fortune’s Favor” FiNN LMG Blueprint, a sticky grenade Blueprint, a weapon sticker and a DMZ Survival Kit.
- Tier 100: the “Bellum” Ultra Blueprint for the Mosin-Nagant.
- Finishing the pass: the “Vantage” Blix skin, a “Blue Viper” Hyeon Burst Blueprint, 200 COD Points, a Calling Card, an Emblem and a DMZ Survival Kit.
- Bonus skins: eight more Operator skins for players who complete the premium pass, with details due in the Season 1 Reloaded post.
BlackCell
- Instant: the XERO Operator (with Cowled and Adder variants unlocked through BlackCell challenges), 1,100 COD Points, the “Perimeter Lance” M4 Signature Blueprint (two more variants via challenges), the “Dog Food” Companion Finisher, a lobby scene, a Mastery camo track, 20 tier skips, a DMZ Survival Pack and a BlackCell clan tag.
- In the pass: seven BlackCell Operator skins (two for Blix, plus Oh-Ji, Velikan, Min-Hee, Luca and Dallas) and seven Blueprints for the Kastov 762, Axion, KG-7 Vulcan, ISO Nightshade, CSG-35, Cronen Osprey and Mosin-Nagant Marksman.
- DMZ: BlackCell also unlocks the new FOB vendor that sells gear for DMZ Cash.
Free extras
Activision also lists a free “Locked Down” universal weapon camo for verifying your account email.
