Raven’s Warzone Season 1 patch notes fill in the detail behind MW4’s arrival in Warzone. Our earlier preview covered the maps and platform changes. The notes add faster circles, a shorter Tactical Sprint, new killstreaks and equipment, an across-the-board weapon handling pass, and a list of known issues.
Anti-cheat
Ricochet now blocks Warzone Agent, a paid third-party app used for lobby shopping. Players running it are told to close it. If they don’t, they lose access to Multiplayer, and repeat offenders risk account or hardware bans.
Matches and modes
- Battle Royale and Resurgence circles are shorter, which cuts nearly 5.5 minutes from an average match.
- Hajin has random weather, toggleable night vision and a Gulag with mantling. Zodiac gets better visibility and audio, and about 25% fewer train spawns than in the beta.
- Rally Point puts 20 players on Zodiac with no gas, unlimited redeploys, a buyable Nuke and an Aerial Scanner killstreak.
- Private Match is disabled for Season 1 and returns in Season 2. New players can choose a protected Resurgence experience.
- Resurgence adds Drop Kits (Insured, Armored, Loadout or Radar; you can equip one at a time), Weapon Trade Stations and breakable crates.
Movement
- Tactical Sprint is on everyone: about 0.5 m/s faster than a normal sprint for up to four seconds, or unlimited with a melee weapon.
- Jumping, sliding, diving, parachute landings and Ascender dismounts are all tweaked.
- Air assassinations now check how close you are to the ground, and downed enemies can give up while being dragged.
Loadouts and gear
- 15 Base Perks across three slots, including the new Incognito, Stocked, Deft Hands and Wingman, plus Elite Perks (Athleticism, Fieldcraft, Phantom) in a fourth slot.
- New equipment: the Tripwire Mine and Screamer Mine. You can place up to two items per category.
- New killstreaks: Artillery Beacon, Bomb Glider, Bombing Run, Combat Drone, Impact Warhead and Insight. The Bomb Glider is already toned down to below 300 damage, and one launcher rocket now destroys a Counter UAV.
- New field upgrades: Zipline Launcher, Grabber Drone, Perk Supply Box, Smoke Wall and SAM Airburst Turret.
- Only one High Value Loot Zone spawns per match, down from three, and the Contract cash multiplier is gone.
- Weapon Augments (Breacher, Sharpshooter and Gunslinger) and Ground Ops activities are new.
Weapons
- The full MW4 arsenal is in, including the new Cronen Osprey and CSG-35, with Apex attachments for the Cronen Helix Mk. II and CSG Crossfire now. The Hyeon Auto and Kastov 545 Apex attachments come later in the season.
- Weapons get a general handling pass: faster bullets, less flinch, less weapon bob and screen shake, faster weapon swaps and faster movement while aiming.
- Knockdown is removed from the RPG-7, Astaroth .57 and some Apex attachments.
- Vehicles take 30% more damage at critical points, and vehicle health now scales with squad size.
- Older weapons use fixed preset builds and unlock through Armory XP.
Known issues
Raven lists these as known and under investigation:
- Activating a Double XP Token can freeze the menu until you restart.
- Rapidly pressing Map and Esc can kick you from a match.
- Marksman Rifle Platinum camo progress shows as locked.
- New players’ custom loadout changes may not save mid-match.
- Grind for Royalty challenges may not complete until you restart.
- Some Legacy emotes are temporarily unavailable, and the ROC 20MM has no Legacy blueprint.
